CALLING ALL OFFICERS!!
Officer elections take place in August. Nominations took place at the July meeting. Below is a list of those that have been nominated and the office that they were nominated to serve in. Voting will take place at the August meeting. ONLY CURRENTLY PAID MEMBERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO VOTE IN AUGUST. (2011 DUES WILL BE DUE PRIOR TO VOTING.) No new members will be voted in during the August election meeting.

LaDonna will contact you to notify you of your nomination and if you choose not to serve in a specific office, please let her know to remove your name from the August voting ballot. Nominations will be taken from the floor at the August meeting prior to voting. Again, you must be a current paid member and your 2011 dues must be paid prior to entry of the August meeting. Print your 2011 Lubbock Saddle Club Membership application or your 2011 Lubbock Saddle Club Associate Membership application and bring it with you to save time! The 4th Annual Lubbock Saddle Club Youth Series is in full swing! We have completed three of eight playday series. Remember, you only have to compete in 4 of the 8 series to qualify for the awards. Make plans now to bring out the little ones and let them ride in a series all of their own! This year's series is co-chaired by Amy Reilly and Misty Basquez. It is going to be another great series. Remember the series is every Friday night in June and the last four Friday nights in July. Any child 18 or younger is welcome to come out and ride with us. The awards will be buckles again this year! The grand entry will begin at 7:00 p.m. sharp and the events will begin immediately afterwards. For dates, please see the Schedule of Events page.
DO YOU HAVE A PARADE UNIFORM?
DO YOU PLAN TO RIDE IN THE PARADE OF HORSES?
If the answers to these questions are yes, then please notify Kent Garrett, 2010 Parade Marshal. He is looking to incorporate something patriotic into our parade uniform for this parade. Kent needs a count of those that plan on riding and have a uniform. Please contact him ASAP so he can count you when planning for this parade!
The Parade of Horses falls on September 11th this year. Each year there is a theme for the parade, and we might want to particpate accordingly. More information will follow as it becomes available. You may contact Kent Garrett via his email or phone as listed on the Contact Us page.
Cal Farley's is just around the corner! Believe it or not, September will be here before we know it. We are already in the planning stages of this trail ride. Please begin making your plans to join us in this annual event.

It has been brought to the attention of the Club officers that some may be using the arena and not returning the equipment to its designated location north of the concession stand. Also, the lights have been used and not turned off. Please remember as a paid member of the Club, you have the authorization to use the arena and the equipment, provided that the equipment and arena are cared for. If you use it, put it up; if you turn it on, turn it off. Again, you may only use the arena if you are a paid member of the Lubbock Saddle Club. If you have any questions,
