As a member of the Lubbock Saddle Club, you are automatically a member of District II.  You are welcome to ride in all District II playdays.  If you desire to compete at the Association Level, you and your family would also need to become a member of the American Association of Sheriff Posses and Riding Clubs.  For more information about AASPRC, contact Donna Willis.

  • Association dues should be paid through your home club. They must be received by March 1st to prevent a late fee being assessed. Please get yours mailed today. You can pay your dues through the website using PayPal. For more information, please see the AASP&RC website.
  • Spring Round-up is just around the corner! April 16-18th, in Bowie, Texas. The organizers of this event have worked very hard to plan a great list of fun things to participate in. Please make plans to attend....Below is a schedule of events:

April 16th (4D Barrel Race)

    • 6:00 pm - Sign-up begins
    • 6:30 pm - Exhibitions begin  (The exhibition numbers will be limited.)
    • 9:00 pm - 4-D Classes begin

April 17th (Playday)

    • 8:30 am - Sign-up begins
    • 9:00 am - Grand Entry (Arena 1)
    • 9:30 am - Team Playday begins (Arena 1)
      • Events will be SAW, Bow Tie, Barrels, 2 other events TBA
      • There will be a Pony Express demonstration after the thrid event
    • 11:00 am - Fun Events (Arena 2)
      • Events will be Peppermint Twist, Lazy H
    • 7:00 pm - Dinner served Chuckwagon style on pavillion

April 18th (Trail Ride)

    • 8:30 am - Queen's breakfast - served Chuckwagon style on pavillion
    • 9:00 am - Cowboy Church on pavillion
    • 10:00am - Poker Trail Ride - location TBA

Make plans to attend now. This is going to be a blast and all members of the Association are welcome to attend.

    The Association of Sheriff's Posses and Riding Clubs rode in the Fort Worth Stock Show Parade on January 16th. The photos that have been received are posted on the Photo Gallery tab. If you have photos that you would like added, please forward them to the webmaster, include names of those pictured so they can be notated correctly.

    Any of the members are welcome to attend the District II meetings!  They are always the 2nd Tuesday of the month - currently held at the Home Plate Diner at 34th and the West Loop 289.  Next meeting will be the 2nd Tuesday in March at 7:30 p.m.  If you have questions, please contact Disrict II Secretary, Donna Willis or District II President, Sarah Winters. 

  • The 2010 playdays were set at the February meeting. In the event of inclement weather, CALL BEFORE YOU HAUL!
    • February 28 - WTR - Lonesome Pine Arena - Concessions will NOT be available

  NOTE:    Due to pending weather, the February 28th playday has been cancelled.

    • March 27 - LSC - Lubbock Saddle Club Arena
    • April 25 - WOF - Morton Arena
    • May 22 - LSC - Lubbock Saddle Club Arena
    • June 27 - WOF - Morton Arena
    • July 25 - WTR - WTR Arena
    • August 22 - WTR - WTR Arena (Rain Date for the February 28th playday)
  • For all playdays, books will open at 11:00 a.m and rides will begin at 12:00 p.m.

  • The 2010 Association Convention will be held in Wichita Falls. Texas. The host hotel will be the Howard Johnson Plaza. If you were unable to attend last year's convention, please try to attend this year. You will not regret it!
     

NOTICE

****NEGATIVE COGGINS ARE REQUIRED FOR EACH HORSE BROUGHT TO EACH PLAYDAY**** 
THEY WILL BE CHECKED AT THE GATE AT EACH PLAYDAY!  
You must present proof of negative coggins no later than the second playday.  If you desire, you may provide a copy of your coggins to be kept on file by the District II Creditials Person, Michael Mild.  His number can be found on the Contact Us page, as he is Lubbock Saddle Club Vice President.  This will prevent you having to bring them to each playday.
